It looks like Jim K started a new team (and a new affiliation) called Overcoming Disabilities, and many of our teammates joined his team. I see they are doing quite well for a new team, and I wish them great success.
The OD team has actually been around for a while. They used to have an affiliation as well. I see that their affiliation still there but only Jim currently belongs to it. Maybe they're putting that back together. I wish them well also in any case.
I just ask that if you're going to join us, great! Stay! Pitch in! Be a part of! Post on the forum! Say hi once in a while, and give or get some encouragement! Share something about yourself, about your fitness or health journey, or something funny about rowing! Photoshop your head onto Xeno Muller's body! If you want to be somewhere else, then that's great too -- join them and dedicate yourself to that crew. There are plenty of boats in the harbor for all sorts of crews! But Izz and I put a lot of time, effort, and heart into this endeavor -- trying to learn about our teammates and provide personal encouragement and kudos
with very little information to go on. And to have people come and go not once but in some cases a dozen or more times in a season (usually without any word or reason) is very discouraging, for the whole team.
Today also, Roger Gwinn, Tammy Gwinn, Jim Kielma, and Jim (Jay) Kielma Jr. withdrew from our affiliation. Best wishes to all.
