Training is really over.
Now I am just doing that superfluous, predictable stuff that doesn't matter.
Busting a gut for six months, twice a day, rowing race pace until I drop.
And the like.

Oh, heck, we're _all_ just guessing.mrfit wrote:Do they know anything or are they just guessing?
Even with the drag up a couple of notches from 118 df. to 145 df., it is still well below what I used this winter (setting 10, not setting 7) and my stroking power is now quite a bit higher (13 SPI rather than 12 SPI).bellboy wrote:So we can safely assume that if he ever does get to BIRC his glorious new stroke will return to the "head bobbing up and down like a $10 Reno whore" style with which everybody is so familiar with? Indeed I will.aharmer wrote:Reading the recent posts it appears you will be doing a sharpening version of rowing with breaks.
Sure, dozens of them.aharmer wrote:Is there any chance you'll do a true predictive sharpening workout in the next 7 weeks?
Okay, great. So why will we not have seen any evidence of these workouts 7 weeks from now? Of course you don't have to show us, but you always promise to show them and never do. When should we expect the first screenshot of a sharpening workout?ranger wrote:Sure, dozens of them.aharmer wrote:Is there any chance you'll do a true predictive sharpening workout in the next 7 weeks?
As I mentioned, I'll now be warming up, doing race pace and rate, and cross-training.
That's all.

I think there's be a slight failure in Al's parsing of the latest Rangernoise.ausrwr wrote:theobfuscator wrote:It is more relaxing for me with the drag about 145 df., rather than 118 df. Relaxing in terms of peace of mind telling me that I might be able to get within a bull's roar if I thump the drag up and go back to hauling anchor.
But you won't reveal any of the results as that constitutes "racing your training" and will also reveal that you can't get much below 6:50 as an overweight lightweight right now.ranger wrote:Sure, dozens of them.aharmer wrote:Is there any chance you'll do a true predictive sharpening workout in the next 7 weeks?

I just reached out my grubby paw and jammed the drag lever up from setting 5 to setting 7.
No transcendental insight this time.
