Hey Pat!

You are quick to reply. I didn't update my profile when I attempted to join earlier. Thanks for the info. I am on the team now, and excited about it!!

What is the difference between the timbuk2/too/toa teams? My favorite name is timbuk2.

Hi Sandi..
Glad that you could get on the new team. There are now a Fleet of TIMBUK's  Our original boat was/is TIMBUKTU.We began the Challenge with 13 crew members. We row as a team throughout the normal rowing season. We have been together for about 3 years give or take.We decided to create a boat for the challenge to set itself off from the rest..called it TIMBUK2.This boat ended up with 65 members.TIMBUKTU is a boat of the Ancient Mariner's Organization and age restricted. So to keep anyone who wanted to row on a virtual team for the season and had no affiliation..I created a boat..TimbukTOO.That is where you are rowing along with fellow mates of TIMBUK2.I call this our Fleet. We will ALL be together for challenges and row with our respective boats throughout the season.Hence,,the difference between TIMBUKTU/2 and TOO... Hi Kristine..
Thank you!! Your team did a great job too and you are a remarkable captain!Rowing along with you and the Lunar mission and visiting each other's team rooms was a great way to spark additional spirit and motivation that everyone needed and responded to.
I think your idea for the challenges between our teams is great!!
Let's do it!!
What do you say team??? Are you ready to do more???

...A CHALLENGE... Absolutely - count me in !

Looks like the next Team Challenge event is March 15-April 15 (NARC)... might be a nice time to get in a warm-up Marathon for the April 16-30 Global Marathon Challenge.

I learned that the only way you are going to get anywhere in life is to work hard at it. Whether you're a musician, a writer, an athlete or a businessman, there is no getting around it. If you do, you'll win--if you don't, you won't.

Pat

Thanks for all the encouragement in January. Although I wasn’t vocal on the forums I did look regularly, your posts helped a lot. Personally, I hit my objectives and being part of time got me on the erg at times when it could have been easy not to. I guess the challenge for me now is keeping it going.....I'm feeling healthier but I need to loose some more weight!

To carry on with the team spirit I’ve also joined the new TimbukTOO team – I’m very much looking forward to the next challenge!

Speak soon.

All the very best!

David
