c2billp no more...

Post by c2bill » October 9th, 2007, 2:23 pm

Hello Forum'ites and online ranking users - some of you have met me in person, many more 'virtually' - i'm the guilty party behind the online log, ranking and challenges - having written several thousand lines of code and e-emailed nearly every person associated with the online ranking at one point or another over the course of the past 9 years.

I have often said that creating the online ranking and log was a bit like giving birth... that said i take a parent's pride in the role that the ranking and log has played in motivating countless numbers of people to perhaps try a little harder, row a little longer, and reach out to a few total strangers - joined only by a common interest in rowing.

I will miss the interaction, support, stoke and enthusiasm that you've all shown over the years - This community has been many things - but boring is not one of them!

My last official day with Concept2 will be this October 19th - after that support requests should be addressed to: ranking@concept2.com

If someone could take a moment to crosspost this on the UK forum I would be greatful.

If any (or all) of you care to stay in touch, my gmail address is:
c2billp@gmail.com

cheers and good rowing!

Bill,

Good luck with whatever you're off to do next, I'm sure you'll be as valued there as you are here. I'm glad I got to meet you once during your concept2 time, in Amsterdam I think 2 or 3 years ago.

Cheers,

Pete

For a lot of people, you're very much the "face of C2". Your enthusiasm, drive and upbeat personality really comes through both online and in person (I was lucky enough to meet you at Boston this year).

You have been a great motivator for so many indoor rowers and I'd like to thank you for your support over the years.

I wish you all the very best in your future ventures and am confident you will make them a success. You will be sorely missed :(

Good luck buddy! B)

No billp?

I'm reminded of the final scene of E.T.

E.T: "Come."

Elliot: "Stay."

Very best wishes in the next venture. You will be sorely missed.

You've been so helpful for so long! You've made such a great contribution to Indoor Rowing.
You personal touches will be missed...

So, who is this "ranking" fellow anyway (of ranking@concept2.com)?

...someone named Randy King?

You see what I mean?... no one can fill c2bill's shoes :!:

Best of luck in the future.
