A slight change here. A view from my front yard of the snow blowing off one of the local mountains.

Nice to see some familiar avatars here, Tyn!
Bob, great avatar! I had no idea that California had places that look almost like the Alps

. But I confess I was really partial to your previous one with the reflecting screens on your glasses (couldn't help but chuckle

)

California is mostly mountains. In the winter, there are snow covered peaks only about fifty miles drive from the city of Los Angeles. The low desert city of Palm Springs is in the late afternoon shadow of a peak that towers 10,000 feet above it. There is a Swiss built tramway that you can take up to a resort that is about 8,000 feet up the mountain. The start of the tramway is just a short drive from the center of Palm Springs.
I live in the high desert area of eastern California and we are at the base of mountains that are high enough to have permanent snow fields and the glaciers that result from them.

Tyn,
Glad your doing well. You are doing a good job with the meters this month as well.
I always like to set a number of meterage goals for myself. Some short range, some long range. Right now I am trying to make sure I get to one of those goals - my next million meters before my oldest daughter's wedding next month. (My only problem with the goals is that I keep shortening the time frames for them

.)
