This one was rate capped to 27spm, had to stop to take a drink as I was so dry. Time of 17:41.0 (1:46.1). Tomorrow brings 3x1250m with 4 min rest

Sir Pirate

Can all you fit people please stop boasting. I think there should be a separate forum called Boaster's Forum. I, unlike most of you, am just going to go at my own pace and do a couple of 2km in about eight minutes. Does that make me some kind of sissy?

Tom. All these times that we do are all relative. I would have thought that I put in the same effort for a 2K as you do, and Dwayne puts the same effort in as I do. Just because your times are slower than mine or other peoples that does not mean that we are better than you.

Regards
Sir Pirate
Nbpt is "down"river from Hav. Also, the prevailing winds usually blow from west to east, pushing you to Nbpt then becoming headwinds on the way back.

If your next trip takes you all the way to the downtown, stop by #49 Pleasant Street. I always have plenty of cold, filtered water in the 'fridge.

Rick

Hey Rick,

I had forgotten we are in the same neck of the woods. I was downtown in Newburyport today, I went past rt 1 and into the touristy section. Traffic was a pain. Is Pleasant street the main drag? I'm afraid I have no idea of the street names on this ride, and the worst sense of direction imaginable. But if I happen to end up on Pleasant St I'll look for 49.

I usually carry 2 large bottles and they just made the distance today.

Carla

Do I remember rightly that you hate biking?
Today:

2k warm up

5k online with Thomas - 17:08.8, 29 spm, 1:42.9
Still trying to get the rate up on these sessions but what i've achieved so far is paying off, this is a seasons best by 7 seconds and was sligfhtly easier than the 5k in 17:16.3 I did last week also at 29 spm.

2k Cool down.

Total meters: 9,000

Tomorrow i aim to do a seasons best for 60 minutes rate capped at 22 spm, aiming for around 1:51.0 Av I'm going to see how alternating between rowing at low spm and high spm on consecutive days pays off, although all sessions will be hard efforts so I'm going to have to incorporate some rest days.
2nd day with no rowing. Have changed job and the ride to the office is a real killer just over 12 miles, the last 4 miles is all up hill, and I mean UP HILL. Have been pushing it hard to and from the office, legs are just to tired to row in the evening now. Think I need a few more days to get used to the new route then it will be back to normal.

Sir Pirate
