While I'm not interested in going to Prague in February, it would be nice to qualify for the virtual participation. Virtual times are due by January 15, even though the regatta is not until February23 & 24. The very informative Competitor Guidelines manual refers to using "Sanctioned Events" to achieve qualification....but I cant seem to find any listing of such events. Anyone out there know more?
PS: And yes, there are detailed instructions for submitting a result from the comfort of your home (or club), but a race event would be more meaningful, to me.

Re: WRICH 2024 Sanctioned Qualifiers?
I was having the exact same thought. My reason was primarily all the tech setup involved. I'm not really proficient at that, plus don't have all the equipment. So I looked into the "sanctioned event" route.
I went on the WRICH web site and read all about how an event could become a "sanctioned event", then sent that info to the only local event in my area, but got no reply to that email. I'm guessing it's not worth their effort, for the sparse turnout it usually gets.
However, even if you do find a sanctioned event, then on the actual race day, won't you still have to install all the hardware and cameras, witnesses, etc. for the virtual race? Might as well do it for the qualification effort.
I've decided I'll just do the local event, then maybe think about a trip to Boston for CRASH-B. Maybe.
Good luck with your race, in either case!

Re: WRICH 2024 Sanctioned Qualifiers?
There was this line about sanctioned events:
"The facility is only available to athletes attempting to qualify for one of the 15 Virtual WRICH positions to race virtually."
After reading that I stopped looking.
