Have you done one before? It would be hard to know what time to say as you may row your 2000m at 28spm or as high as 36spm if you are a lightweight. This can make a lot of difference to the overall 2000m time.

If so and you do the same on the 2 k you can expect to go 5/7 sec faster on the splitst. So 1.54/56 ish. Wasn,t it a all out piece than you can go faster even. Don,t change the dampersetting and don,t start to fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you have te time do a test before. take a 1200 meter piece and try a 1.54 pace. See how that feels, it will give you a good idee.

succes.

Any factors that you think caused this?

Some consideration of this may help with search for optimum rating and hence best opportunity for 2k pb.

Neil B.

You seem to lose a lot of power per stoke when you rate higher. Do you have a coach working with you.

What sort of high rate work do you do compared to your low rate work?

I'm thinking that your free rate 2k will be in the stroke rate range of 31-33.

Take the first half at 1:52, pick it up to 1:51 in the 3rd quarter, then take it home.

When I was doing my 6ks, raising spm from 24-28 helped me lower my time by ~12 sec (1 off my split). On 2k's, I think unless your like 6ft 5in or taller your spm should be above or around 30. Mine's 31 for the bulk of the peace, and 34 for the last 300m.
