I know it's possible to use ErgData to record a row and it can then be synced from the Logbook to Garmin.
However, using this method means you get no training status on Garmin.
I know there is also the ErgIQ app for Garmin connect, but it's not really required on Garmin devices now as Garmin themselves added a rowing app that can take data direct from the PM5.
What I want to know is does anyone know of a way you can use the Garmin device to record a rowing session and then somehow have Garmin upload to the Concept2 logbook?
Looks to me like Concept 2 only allow exporting data from the logbook and don't allow other API's to write to the logbook.
Just wondering if anyone has successfully managed to do this?

Re: Garmin sync to Concept 2 logbook
If you have the PM5 could you connect both the Ergdata app and the Fenix watch at the same time or doesn't it allow this?
The only other solution would be to manually upload to Garmin connect on a PC I would guess

I own a Fenix 5x and use ErgIQ to get my "Training Status" information accurately represented in Garmin Connect for my rowing. From what I understand only the Fenix 6 series and newer garmin watches have the rowing app built in?kerrglen@gmail.com wrote: ↑March 9th, 2021, 10:48 amI know it's possible to use ErgData to record a row and it can then be synced from the Logbook to Garmin.

Rows completed using ErgIQ allow me to see updated training loads, and my training effects (Aerobic/Anaerobic/Lactate Threshold scales). I do not have Connect setup to log data to my C2Log - instead I have it setup so that my C2 log sends the workout to my Garmin Connect account.
This ends up placing a duplicated workout in my Garmin activities list - I use this to compare the ergdata info versus ErgIQ - and I fill in the missing data (for me, only important piece missing is to update total meters rowed) for the ErgIQ activity, then from within the Connect app, delete my 'Gym & Fitness equipment' labeled row.
Kind of a pain, but yeah, you can get your training load from rowing, while using your garmin watch - I have to use ErgIQ to accomplish this.
