Thank you i finally register ! So my score is 3131m. I don't know how good or bad it is but i was dying on the last minute :D
Welcome on board Esteban! Any score where you give your best is a good score. There's still time to do another one in the month if you feel like you could improve the pacing. :)

Welcome Esteban!
Another thing some of us do is the FM Monthly Challenge - https://www.indoorrowinginfo.com/fmmc/
This month it's a 2k.
Keeps the variety and interest going and flies the FF flag :)

Just had a go at the CTC this month..12 minutes @180 HR, I might have seen the pearly gates by the last interval.
Got 3552m, not as bad as I feared. This was my first sprint effort in months and it hurt, but hey, no pain no gain.

Nice one, Ivan. That'll certainly help push Boat 3 up the list once we get another female on board.

BikeErg for me tonight - trying out one of the Zwift training plans for some variety. Was an easy intro session, so 50 minutes of lowish heart rate intervals. Good excuse to catch up on some TV while doing it.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Doing the C2 Vakentine's Day challenge proved to be a bit much, too soon for my back. Was rowing about 2800m daily for 5 days, first 3 days A-OK, but 4th didn't feel so good and 5th day things hurt. I finished, going VERY slow and careful. but I've had to rest and calm the nerves down for a bit, which was rather discouraging.

The trouble is I don't know yet just what I can tolerate, what I can't. Only way to find out is by doing....

Back on my rower today! For the moment, I'm sticking to 10-12 minutes and not necessarily every day. I'll give a go at the World Rowing Virtual Indoor Sprints March 4-8. It's just 1000m, so I can do that. I'll see how I feel about trying to actually do it fast... :D

Today went OK, no twinges!

No Mel. No Shirley Godkin. Georgina gone to the 💎s. Deb on the DL comeback trail. But our MLWT recruiting drive a success!👏

Also couldn't convince my wife to make her comeback this month. I tried to sell it as a good short way to get back into it, but given that I hadn't enjoyed the session, I don't think I was convincing. :)

Still not complaining about 3 boats - we hit 2 boats twice last year, so this is still fine.

Had a rough time at work this week with lots of late nights, so put training on hold. 2 of the Zwift training plan sessions expired, but I managed to get back on it this evening, and hopefully will fit a few sessions in this week.

Not sure I'm looking forward to the 4x4min CTC much, but will try get it out of the way asap. Looking forward to the 4-8 March 1k sprints competition, just to get another ranking distance ticked off before the end of April.

I think I can do the CTC. If it's OK that I maybe get off the rower and stretch during the rest periods?

I probably won't have a good score on that or the sprints. I did my 1K again today, went OK, but I found that twinges started if I pushed beyond 21 strokes per minute. The good news is they stopped and I felt OK as long as I stayed at that or under. I'll rest tomorrow, keep stretching my back on the inversion table, see if things improve.

I haven’t heard of rules governing activities during interval rest. Bathroom breaks, stretching, moving about are possible during a long rest such as 4 or 5’. Also sufficient time to lie down with feet elevated. I like to keep my legs moving. I have a theory that the big muscles of the legs assist the return of veinous blood to the heart if kept moving. i have observed that my heart rate appears to drop faster when I keep moving as opposed to when sitting stationary. Don’t know of any scientific support for the idea that the legs can do the heart’s work— pump the heart so to speak, but I believe it works that way and maybe I benefit by believing as I do. Or maybe just a brain fart.

There are no rules for that. You can do whatever floats your boat during each of your four minutes. That's twelve minutes of personal time.
All the rules are here: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=161998

Go for it Cynthia. Just paddle easily and rest & stretch during the 4' breaks. No score is too slow-----it beats no score at all. Then, if you make a big comeback later in the month you can do another one for a faster score.

Just be careful not to repeat the too much, too soon scenario.

No messing about, Jack. Early score to take the pressure off the rest of the month!

And great write-up on the CRASH-Bs, Rick! Is still on my wishlist to get there one day, but I suspect I'll have to wait until after I retire given the timing and distance to get there. My wife did ask if I was done with rowing competitions now that I've ticked off a BRIC and a WRIC, and I did say probably, but I'd forgotten about the original.
