Woo Hoo!philjoakley wrote: ↑August 26th, 2019, 3:46 pmGot under 7 minutes for 2k for the first time today with a 6:59.3. Really pleased. Went off steady and hammered the last 500m.
Splits:
1.47.2
1.46.7
1.45.3
1.40.1
12k isn't easy to start with but it does get easier with repetition. Try and focus on it being 6 x 2k or 4 x 3k just to break it down into bite size chunks.
Haha same here, did the 2nd 7k yesterday. It's not the endurance which is the challenging part, it's the mental part of doing the long time. Not looking forward to the 12k
So, following Henry's and Martin's recommendations , i did another 500m P.B. today 1:23.0hjs wrote: ↑August 27th, 2019, 1:13 pmWould give a reason to work harderAndrew Shuck wrote: ↑August 27th, 2019, 1:04 pm@ Henry, Df150 it is then, it'll be your fault if i beat Keiths time

You need some reserve the first 300m, from there you give more and the last 100 its all in. Still some fade but not to 1.30 orso. The last 100 matters a lot.
Thank's Henry, felt better and took 0.9 sec off previous time..Thank's again for the tip.
Cheers, 500 is to long to really trash, or you should be extremely fit. For the rest, its more a sideshow for you. Won,t help much with 2k. But still you got a nice string now from 500/10k well done!Andrew Shuck wrote: ↑August 28th, 2019, 10:32 amThank's Henry, felt better and took 0.9 sec off previous time..Thank's again for the tip.
