I've mentioned this supplement in other posts but, with age, the challenge is often being injured. I'm a supplement buff (and have done a bit of recruiting with nutraceutical companies). I know some of you aren't keen on supplements, but there's been some interesting stuff come out on Vitamin K2 recently. I got the actual study from the author and it turns out that Vitamin K2 dramatically reduces the time it takes to get back to form (around 300 mg per day). In the form of NK-7 (it's a fairly cheap supplement). The study was mostly on average (recreational athletes) and my understanding of it is that they got in aerobic shape much faster. I'm not sure it would help someone who's highly trained as much (it has more long term benefits for heart/vein health). Shawn Baker is getting a lot it because it's mostly available naturally in grass fed meat only.
If anyone's interested, PM me your email and I'll email you the actual study for perusal. I don't think you can find it anywhere.
