I'm off to give another go right now. Goal is 40:00 (.7 sec/500 faster than last time). If I make it it will only help our average about 2.9 seconds, though, but I feel like it's a long shot.dadams wrote:Hey there Taffs. The Oarsome I boat is nipping at our heals again. Anyone of you in the Taff I boat got anything left in ya?

ugh, I quit at 3269m. just barely holding on to 2:01.4 (av last time at this point was 2:01.5). Everything just felt dead like lead--no spunk at all. So I wasted some time flub dubbing around and will try again tomorrow.
60M would mean another 1M between us--how many of us are active right now & what's that come out to? There are 2 1/2 weeks left. Count me in for 100K. I've been getting lazy lately.

When does the season end and do I count my warm up metres, feel really stupid asking that but I assume you do??? (and can't get hold of Phil to ask him!)dadams wrote:Hope ya make it Carla.
Hey Taffs...any chance of the team going over 60M for the season? Let's give it a go eh?
Speedy
I can do quite a bit whilst I am off work.
Go for it Carla you CAN do it
Enquired last night about starting rowing on the water at our local rowing club. A girl in our village who babysits for us rows for the Welsh team I think or could possibly be GBR and her mum rows for fun and has been trying to persuade me to join her for ages now (the mum not the daughter ). I will let you know how I get on Should be fun I hope
Helen
Mrs T you count every metre you row as far as I'm concerned.
I often do 5 minute rows during the day, I work at home and find it quite easy to sneak into the garage for 5 minutes, normally about 1100 metres - they all count and they all add up.
Great row on the 10K - I'm going to have to look back at the target I set you and revise it I think:-)
Good luck on the water, does the rower use the C2 for training, if she does you should recruit her into Taff Attack

I hope to have a go tommorrow. Sub 36mins is a daunting prospect but is the sort of target I need to aim for. Just to finally put to bed these rumours of me still being a cripple.Paul B wrote:Dwayne
I've a bit in the tank and hope to be sub 35.30 before the end of the month. I would imagine one legged Phil has a bit left too - I think he'll go sub 36mins as long as work allows.

Looks like I also have to spend some time with Mrs T to assist getting her metres logged.
If I had suggested to her she did this 6 months ago I would have got laughed at.
She will be asking about BIRC entry soon
Phil
I'll be giving the 10k one more shot as well. Probably next Tuesday. After that, I'm on vacation. So I don't see me doing another.
I don't suspect there will be any ergs where I'm going either (headed to the jungles of Peru for 10 days), so my meters are going to drop off starting on the 19th.

I've got 17 days left to do 149,407m. That will get me to 3,000,000m for the 2005/2006 season.seat5 wrote:ugh, I quit at 3269m. just barely holding on to 2:01.4 (av last time at this point was 2:01.5).
