thanks for all of the support...34.47 miles and discovered that pickle juice is magic and it rained before but not during the race and 11th female overall...first in my very small age group....#iearnedmymarshmallowfluff:]

i think it was the butter pickles....not the type i like, but i was cramping and nausea and willing to try it during a race.....

Congrats, BG! Over 55k's, nothing to sneeze at!
Had to laugh, first started using pickle juice in 1981. Back then, poured it from a pickle jar. Now they sell it in the mini/individual use bottles. Still use it on long/hot days & events but tastes the same now (yuk) as it did then. It works! That said, marshmallow is much tastier :D .

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Certified dirt and cinder track that surrounds Clapp Park (.355 mile loop). Racers will start counter-clockwise, switching directions at the 4-hour mark, and are permitted to run the width of the track. Running on the grass along the outside grass surface is permitted. USATF Certification: MA13008JK.

This team motivation is heady stuff ... we'll be at the beach for most of week-3 of the Corky Summer Challenge, and all I can think about is how I can possibly accomplish my 30K and stay in the pack! (Maybe, I'll be able to accidentally "find" a C2 rower, as did the resourceful danwho!)
