Finally did the dreaded 10k-TT in the gym. Ended up with a 84 sec-improvement over the result from August 2015:
DF 124, target was sub 1:52.0
Splits
1:52.0 - SPM 29 - HR at end of split 154
1:51.7 - SPM 30 - HR at end of split 158
1:51.8 - SPM 29 - HR at end of split 164
1:52.1 - SPM 29 - HR at end of split 168
1:50.7 - SPM 29 - HR at end of split 172
Total score 37:13.8 (pace 1:51.6) - with regard to percentiles that´s now my best piece in the rankings for my age group (93rd).

As a strong protagonist of negative splitting I must say that it was not very neat. On the other hand it shows how very close to the edge I was going. Trouble started during third split, almost HD´d during the fourth split but slowed down for around 800 meters instead (some strokes at 1:54, some more at 1:53).

That is an epic 10K Galeere, fantastic!

I've been doing a lot of 10K's lately, you describe the battle very well. It can be a painful and will challenging distance!
100m: 15.5, 1Min: 353, 500m: 1:29, 5K: 19:41.2, 10K: 40:46

Nice one. Neg. splitting simply means you left some on the table. This is how a real TT should look like. In my book the 4km may be slowest.

I am not sure what you mean by that, Henry. Were you referring to Hardy's report? And what is the 4km that you mentioned? Sorry about my lack of comprehension here.

Sorry the, the 4th 2k.

Steady start, getting tough around 5/6k in, and digging in deep in the last bit.

I'm enjoying watching you attack these. We're very similar and even looking at your HR it's like identical to what I see over a piece like that. The last 2K is remarkably impressive, to dig deep when you're already in the hole with your HR through the roof. Congratulations on this strong effort.
