Record Confirmation?

So I recently erged a piece for a national record attempt for 13-14. I submitted the PM code and a picture of the monitor to the website. I dont' think Concept2 didn't put details about age confirmation on their website, so I didn't submit any. I was wondering how Concept2 would verify my age. Wouldn't it be possible for me to invite an older friend to do it for me? Of course I didn't, but I'm just curious.
