At today's Beach Sprints in Long Beach, California, Bob Spenger broke his 2K world record for male lightweights 80-84, with a time of 7:54.9. (His previous WR was 8:05.6.) Bob's time is faster than the 80-84 MH record, and he is also the first 80 year old to break 8:00!
Congratulations, Bob!

Joan
It's a 100% PATT percentage.

Joan,

Do you have the results for the women's and men's 50+ lightweights and men's 60+ lightweights?

It should be more like 102% PATT, unless it throws the rest of your tables even further out of whack than they already are.

Thanks for asking, John. I'm sorry I didn't bring results home with me, but I do know that three other Boston qualifiers from this event were in those age groups. Steve Krum (6:21.4) 50-54H; Henry Baker (6:49.1) 55-59L; and moi.
Warren Anderson (5:58.3) 19-29H met the Boston qualifying time, as well.
Complete results will be at longbeachrowing.org, and, possibly row2k, but they aren't online, yet.
Joan

PaulS,

The highest percentage is 100 percent.

Thus the only thing that is farther out of whack is your understanding of this.
