Elk near Rocky Mountain National Park

The rain and/or snow has been gifting the RMNP with lots of great grazing areas, and the elk are looking quite healthy. Dawn and dusk are great times for viewing - and saw three elk calves for the first time. I did not know that the babies were spotted. There are several meadows near the west park entrance where well over a hundred gather at dusk. Impressive sight.

Getting very toasty in many parts of our Rowing and Ski-Erging Universe! I'm pretty sure that our man in Qatar has the top thermometer reading, but Mitch J and David W (AZ) may be seeing some daytime highs that are pretty far up the charts. Meanwhile, Baz is heading towards the Australian flip side of cooler temperatures (although all those Outback photos seem to radiate heat). Hi Team,

Hope all are well! We hit 115 today! Not looking forward to the 120's that are coming... I did my marathon yesterday to put me over 14M lifetime meters. Felt great! We are headed into the holiday season over here and only work 4 hours a day through July. Going to enjoy it!

Whoop, whoop and hooyah! There was a full moon over Massachusetts as Richard T put in 42,195 m to reach his first ONE million meters of the 2015 season (history says that there will be more!). Congratulations on reaching one of the favorite milestones! We wish you many, MANY more!!
