Did 6018 meters in a time of 33:53.

Changed my foot stretchers around today and the row felt much easier. I honestly hadn'tmade any adjustments to them since the rower came from the factory. Not even sure if I have them properly adjusted now, but as the row felt much easier I'd guess i'm closer. Any suggestions or insight on that? I'm 5 foot 5 inches and have a size 7.5 shoe. I moved them to a 2 setting, and am not sure what they were on before.

Hope everyone is doing well!

Well done some training today but feel the size of a whale ... boohoo never mind I will get some of this excess weight off now I can exercise.

This am 6 x 5 mins on erg 22spm .. 2.10 so pleased 2 mins rests 10 mins warm down . So over 9k for the session.

Then physio ... 5 mins bike , 5 mins erg .. 5mins stepper .. 5 mins on treadmill but only walking concentrating on not limping but walking properly . Then several weird and wonderful exercises on wobble boards and ankle manipulation. The flexibility is coming but the ankle still swells up and the leg goes a funny shade of purple.

Oh and I am knackered lol .............zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Wow, Carole! I can't pull a 2:10 and I'm perfectly healthy. You are making great progress! This old duck will be heading across the big pond the end of this month. At least my hotel in London has a rower if I remember correctly!
Keep up the great progress - and don't forget to have a little nap now and again! Got to keep up the strength for Oz!

Sue

Did my longest row yet, both time and meters.

1:00:11

10720 meters.

am tired, but good. Intended to just row a slow 30 minutes while watching Nanny 911 (its so easy to get sucked into it), but didn't realize that its not a 30 minute show. My first intention was to do the easy 30 minutes and if i was so lazy i didn't hit 5k i'd stay on long enough to round it out, then i kept saying i'd just do a little more, a little more, and then i was so close to the end of the show and had gotten very close to my longest lenght in a day (8k, but in two workouts, morning and evening) that i thought i'd better at least beat that. Well, by the end of the show I was almost at 9k, and thought i'd better round it off! Was on the Just Row function, and I did pause (less than a minute) a few times, but for a novice who had only rowed a 6 k as longest workout previously, i think not too shabby!

Think I'll skip the weight workout I had planned for tonight (ya know, I was gonna do it after my easy 30 minutes?) and go find something to eat. Think that my muscles might need some protein after this!

Hmmmm - addictive, isn't it? You should be quite proud of yourself! Great job of breaking all your own records! I bet you felt really good afterwards, didn't you? Isn't it amazing what we can accomplish when we just talk to ourselves a little?

Enjoy your dinner and much deserved rest!
The Buffle

Did another half marathon today (1:56:18.9), working towards being ready for the marathon in May.

I took off 2:30 minutes from last week's half marathon, but it still looks like I'm gonna be close to 4 hours for my marathon time, but the only that really matters if that I finish, right?

May need to take another day off tomorrow, but will try to get long rows in on Wed, Thurs & Fri.

Way to go Snappy! Every time I row I continuously talk myself into rowing "just a little more". Now that you rowed your first hour, you will probably row them a lot more often. Once you realize you can do it, and it doesn't kill ya, you will probably want to try even longer rows!

I think it will be a long time before i do a half, but you never know! I'm just impressed that i made myself do it! I've always been a bit of a quitter, which is why crew was good in college, once you get in the boat with 7 other rowers you can't really back out!

Sounds like you're progressing well. I think given that you're coming from an injury layoff that you're making great progress! Maybe just set you're own challenge for the month?

Hi there

I rowed my first 5k ranked piece today, just to see how I got on. 3 min warm up, then 5k in 24:31:1 then a cool down piece. I didn't feel that I was really pushing it at all, but as it is still early days I'll build up gradually.

Mallard

Rowed another half marathon today, but really lost my steam towards the end, and added time to my last one. I started thinking about stopping even before I rowed the first 5000 meters, so I am just glad that I kept on going and finished at all.

Sounds like you are rowing right along, Mallard!
