If you do that I'm going to eat a toasted C2 rubber seat pad with a nice bechamel sauce, boiled carrots and mashed potatoes. Sir P is going to emit one gold block (he never did say how big or what carat) from his rectal passage.

I suspect Henry will be paying up on his debt as well.

Is the HM your first distance row for the rankings? I did not find a response.

Mike--

Just because you can only rate 24 spm for 5K doesn't mean thaI have to.

I'll rate 32 spm for 5K, both OTW and on the erg.

What's the difference?

Aerobic capacity.

Come on.

Admit it.

You' d _love_ to rae 32 spm for 5K.

But you can't.

Oh well.

Maybe some other sport that ihat's not so crucially dependent on aerobic capacity might be better fr you.

Tiddledy=winks?

Beer=pong?

:D :D

Sorry Rich, this entire argument of yours that you have all this as-yet-unexploited improvement headroom left in your times because of where you are in your "training cycle" just doesn't fly. You're posted times the past 7 years tell a very consistent story.
With respect to lancs, nothing is "unexplored."

At 52, I have already rowed what lanc rowed at 35.

Pathetic stuff.

Lancs needs to wake up.

Will you help?

Send lancs some posts that fill him in on reality, rather than on the ridiculous ego-trip tha he seems to be on.

Lancs is still 22 seconds from the age and weight WR in his division.

Bit of work to do, no?

Eskild is pretty good competition.

That Lancs is talking about rowing to a 60-year-old is pathetic.

Makes you weep big tears for his distorted perspective.

Hi Dougie,
Don't forget about Harry. We'll have to notify him when this miraculous event happens. I hope the Queen has an extra handbag. I don't think she will want to use her handbag after Harry is done with it.

mrfit, I don't think you'll find what you're looking for. Rich only replies to posts that require zero accountability on his part. Oh, of course he will occasionally say "Yes, I plan to do this or that", but the promises are never fulfilled so they mean nothing. Come May 1st we will not have any distance trials to see and he will claim it is now OTW season so distance trials are beneath him.

By the way Rich, assuming you're still holding up the facade of doing distance trials in April, would you be willing to allow a witness to watch these trials? I still believe there is a slight possibility you will attempt the trials you speak of, but will fail miserably based on the wild expectations you have set for yourself. When you fail, instead of posting the real data you will simply claim not to have done the trials, and this entire ridiculous soap opera will continue until the fall and beyond. A witness would be able to give us the true story. Are there any other Ann Arbor forumites?

Of course I haven't numbscull. My age group has professional elite athletes populating it whilst yours has a few keen amateurs. Slight difference I'm sure even you would agree.

Anyway, how are those ranked distance pieces coming along? All of them from FM to 5k wasn't it?

Sure.

And if you can't do it when you are 35, you can't do it, by a huge margin, when you are 50.

Lancs

Do you have anything significant to show us?

Or is it just more of the same?

Shit.

More shit.

More excuses why it is shit.

Lots of high talk and no action.

Shit.

etc.

etc.

Hey.

I'm ready to hear something different.

But you just never deliver.

Why?

Why?

Why?

Look, as fun as this is, it's just going downhill to the point that Ranger is now filling the forum with filth. Not even posting training, just profanities and insults. Can we either close the thread or ban him? Please.

Weight doesn't matter and a more realistic representation of erg times +/- 5 years around TSO

...and for the record, I agree with Lancs and Chad

Ain't gonna happen. ranger will just start a new blog entry if they kill this thread. Been there done that. C2 won't ban him until more people bug them. They told me use the foe feature. And ranger will just claim censorship if they ban him. Personally I think he has a daddy love me complex. His father was very successful while ranger can't get a full professorship.

My suggestion continues to be make a blog section of the forum for people to ramble.

I still give Ranger until the 1st of May to post some validated 5K to FM pieces to support his "Wild" claims, if he doesn't then perhaps everyone should consider doing the same as me and refrain from posting here and just letting him continue to chat to himself on this Forum.

Time is ticking.....
