Mike K,

Congrats on that first HM. May it be the start of many more. Once you've done one you never go back, ask Minnie and Barbara.

Eric,

I think you need to check the flugle valve on your erg I think you're starting to get a torque buildup.

Just to let everyone know, my daughter Sinead was inspired to see other children on the Luna-tics team and asked if she could join too. She's nine and has expressed interest in rowing with me when she is older. Hopefully she'll be able to join in the Yale Community Rowing Program either this summer or next to test out on the water rowing. She's played on the erg bits and pieces over the years. Maybe this will motivate her to do it more. We set her up with a logbook and selected the Luna-tics as her affiliatition. We'll try and get a picture up soon.

Welcome Sinead from the Newall-Vuillemot kids
Thanks for congrats for Elias. The kids club is lifetime not seasonal. Elias got his 5000 pin last year. He is now over 10000 lifetime but needs to get to 15000 for his next pin. I was trying to get him to do this before he turns 5 tomorrow but he is not that motivated right now. No -I was not trying to make him row 5000 in a day but over the last few weeks.
Orion has already got all the kids club pins. He was a little disappointed that he now has to row to 1,000,000 for his next one.
We are having discussions like "A journey of 1000 miles begins with one step"

Welcome aboard, Sinead. You have a good group of young rowers on the team to cheer you on. What color space rowing suit would you like? You can select a solid color, or the most bodacious of tie-dyes if you like.
