In one sense it's getting easier Jan, however as I am generally doing these first thing in the morning I can't turn up sound on my PC/TV... so it does tend to get pretty boring... on the up-side, my lip reading is improving!
Mind you, I am in no danger of "doing-a-Kiba" and having a snooze on the C2! (That made me chuckle for quite a few days Kiba!)

A local brewery has a product called Shock Top. One of the marketing "vehicles" is a red VW bug with a shock top....saw it while I was driving the other day (and yes, I was stopped at a light when I took the picture!). Kind of fun! I understand the brew is tasty

It IS a very unique brew..I just had this here in SW Florida recently.

Yowzer. A bit of whinging....Pushing a wheelbarrow full of topsoil up a rocky hillside at 8000 feet.....just a reminder the body gives that says don't forget your strength training when you're planning your workouts. The scenery was/is glorious with golden aspen leaves shimmering - the backdrop is a mountain lake ringed with snowcapped peaks....sailboats on the lake! I'll have to upload a photo in the next couple of days!

Meanwhile in our rowing universe, the team rows onward....with an expanding team! Welcome to the Luna-Tics, Chuck from Davis, CA! To the moon, mates, to the moon!

A brief word of explanation about our "milestone" awards: some of them mirror Concept2's distance awards, and others designate distances that may have occurred either in multiple rowing sessions in a 24 hr period or exceed the distances acknowledged for awards. A half moon is a half marathon distance. A full moon is a full marathon distance. A red giant is 50,000 m and a supernova (flame on!) is 100,000 m.

We acknowledge meter milestones in the 100K increments - except for our younger rowers. For them, it's the distances acknowledged by the Kid's Club.

Wowzer! Go Luna-Tics! Of course, if I were to say something like "May the best team win" - well, EVERY team would claim victory. We currently are in 3rd place overall. Good to know that my predictions (i.e., predicted that RowPro would overtake us as of yesterday) fall short sometimes! RowPro continues to add rowers to their team...outnumbering us by 9 at the moment. Different team members have been stepping up to their own personal challenges (and thus moving ALL of us forward in the challenge). So....as each of us has time....add a few meters to the team piggy bank!

One of the easiest ways for us to get some immediate advancement is to have team members who have recently joined the team on a year round basis, elect to participate in this challenge. Being included in the challenge roster is no longer an automatic thing....you have to say you want to play!
