YAY
hmmm it seems every time i get on the erg to have a 2k test i'm really nervous and worried that i'm not even gonna break 7 or somethingeyespliced wrote: Last 6 2k's not counting latest

March 15 '06 6:51.6 1:42.9
March 24 06' 6:48.6 1:42.1
i have been kinda sick and such so i thought that I was going to mess up horribly today (fly 'n' die)
nope. did not happen (at all)
so here we go today's 2k erg test was this 6:44.4 1:41.1/500m
woot it was possibly the most painfull 2k ever (even splits the whole time) and the last 250/100m felt soooo slow, hell the last 30m were hard.
edit- good job jbell keep up the good work
Hour record on Tuesday: 15959.
Keen to have a go at my 2k record. Now, what rule applies for you all? Mine is: half the distance, take 4-4.5 secs off the split. If only 4, I will average 1:40.7, and fail; if 4.5, then I will average 1:39.2 and cane my record.
Any views on how long to recover from the hour?

33, 86kg. Low pull 1:15. 1000m 3:10.5 (getting better) 2k 6.39.7, 5k 17:49.7, 6k 21:22.8 30 min 8227, 60 min 16014m, H/m 1:20:24.5
2ked today at practice.
My goal was to get a 7:04 or lower by holding a 1:46 for the first 1500-1600 and then bringing it down.
My Splits
400 1:25.0 1:46.2 30
800 1:25.3 1:46.6 30
1200 1:25.6 1:47.0 29
1600 1:25.3 1:46.6 30
2000 1:22.0 1:42.7 31
Total : 7:03.4 1:45.9
Was one of the easiest 2ks I've ever done. I was cool, calm, and definately collected. It was physically exhausting, but mentally I did not lose my head i.e. fly and die. It helped to have a teammate next to me who I just kept up with to keep my rate up. We had decided before hand to set out at a 28, but he just kept it at a 30 and I decided to tag along.
Next stop : Breaking 7 (Hopefully in about 3 weeks or so)

Re: YAY
Wow, really nice 2k there eyespliced! Next goal for you: Sub 6:40's. The only good thing I got going for me is my sprint is pretty good. Next time I'm just gonna try to break 6:50, so 1:43 for the whole 15-1600m, then bringing it down 2sec on the last 500m.eyespliced wrote:
