Pace boat setup
Hi, we have an older rower at home but at the gym there is a newer version which has a pace boat and I am too stupid to work out how to set it up. Any help please?

There may be more than one way, but I use the "re-row" menu choice. This allows you to select a previous workout against which to pace yourself (chosen by a specific distance, time, etc.). If the pace boat doesn't appear when you start rowing, then change display until it appears. I hope this helps.

trouble getting a pace to 'stick'
I'm using a PM3 at a fitness center, and the numbers I enter for the pace boat's value (via New Workout - Optional Pace Boat) seem to have little to do with the value that actually gets applied once I start the workout. For example, I tried entering 800 cal/hr and wound up with a pace boat at something like 1400 cal/hr instead. Even entering a really low number like 300 cal/hr still puts the boat up above 1000 during the workout. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Try setting the pace boat for pace (time to cover 500m).ohioboater wrote:Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
Try upgrading your PM3s to V101 of the firmware.
The PM3 gives you 300cals/hr just for pulling the chain an inch.
