Just wondering if it is a worthwhile accessory.
Thanks.
Do You Use the Foam Seat Pad?
I have used the foam pad almost from the beginning (I received my C2 D this past September). I used the erg without the pad for a week or so. Has the pad helped? - perhaps a bit. However, the seat is still fairly hard, albeit not uncomfortable. Of course I have almost no rear end, and thus little natural "padding!"
You know what, for the couple of dollars, try it - I believe it is removable.
Best regards

Adhesive should be easy to get off.
I don't use a single foam pad but used a 2 part wood seat with a space down the center for part of the time when rowing a million meters in 19 days for the HC in December, 2005. This kept the heat from building up under my butt. Some of the rest of the time I loosely placed 1/2 inch foam pads on either side of the seat, with the same space down the middle.
It helps to do a couple split stretches on the floor during breaks.
I have a couple of split seats with the wood or foam, the space down the middle, and an angled cutout in back. However, Most of the time I don't use anything on the seat and don't use any padding.
