According to my dictionary, a poll is a polled animal, i.e. an animal having no horns — apparently either naturally or as a result of having the horns cut off. How you interpret all of this is up to you.

how to respond

Post by Stonewaly » October 16th, 2006, 10:58 am

I may be overlooking something obvious, but how does one respond to a poll on the forum? Clearly just clicking "post reply" doesn't do it. What am I missing?

Could it have something to do w/ being a new user (i.e., few total # of posts)? I found the text below in the forum's FAQ, but am not quite sure what is meant by "access rights."
Why can't I vote in polls?
Only registered users can vote in polls so as to prevent spoofing of results. If you have registered and still cannot vote then you probably do not have appropriate access rights.
Thanks!

ignore the above

Post by Stonewaly » October 16th, 2006, 11:09 am

Update: Please ignore the above post! It seems poll replying is enabled once you actually post a reply to the topic. Interesting . . .

Keep checking...I don't believe I've ever had to post on a poll thread before being permitted to vote...

You may have been right about having had to have made some (minimum) # of posts. Maybe the post on the poll thread took you over the threshold?

It's simple, I think, but who am I,

It's about logged in or not

You can only vote when you're logged in and you can only vote once!

And No, I won't ignore any posts!

I love the forum!!

How about trolling a poll? Or is it polling a troll? In asking these questions, am I polling, trolling or just horning in on the thread?

Bob S.

P.S. When is a pole not a poll? When it is a log in (or out as the case may be). B.S.

What's your excuse for being delinquent w/ the polls?

Tyn posts a polite question.
Lurkers pounce, no mercy.
The Trolls destroyed the Polls.
