Hi,
I have 3 kids, and fro me it's also quite difficult to find time to erg.
I would like to have the disipline to get up early and row before kids get up, but as I haven't, I'm a late night rower, often after midnight...

Three kids here as well, and my answer is "all of the above" -- sometimes I erg in the morning, sometimes squeeze in a piece at lunch, very often right after work, occasionally at 9 or 10 in the evening. I do try to plan ahead to figure out when I'll be able to shoehorn erging and/or biking into the upcoming day or two, but the exact time is all over the place from day to day.

But never after midnight. That's dedication!

Tyn,

I am Lucky I guess. My office is 2 minutes from my house so I go home everyday for a rowing session, take a quick shower and head back to the office. If I did not have that luxury, It would be very hard with two small children (4 and 2). I'de probably be rowing late in the evening like Ancho.

I wake up early, read internet news for an hour and then go to the basement to row while my family is sleeping.

Waking up early varies from 5 AM to 6 AM depending on my work schedule, my wife's work schedule and the kid's school schedule.

We have 5 kids, and we both work full time.
My only time to late at night, when I am too tired to do my best (especially since I am much more of a 'morning person'), but I need to exercise.
It would be nice to erg in the middle of the day, but my office is a half hour from home, so that isn't practical.

I also row at night after the kids got to bed. I am going to go row now (9pm). Rowing after dinner can be challenge, so I eat less. I definitely feel faster on the weekends during the morning/day so I would do any time trial then.

I run and row the first thing in the mornings.

Building a retaining wall has been most of my exercise recently though.

It is almost completed, so I am starting to row some again.

Ah...thus are explained the 2,640 block-pounds in your recent training thread report. I figured it wasn't just for the thrill of it.

Likewise. I am 300 yards from my office, so going home for a quick row and lunch is no problem. But the days get so crazy that the lunch rows are only occasional.

I used to work about 5 biking minutes from the olympic channel, so I could either ROW (¡!) or erg, or run along the beach during lunch break. + Excercise - lunch = lowest weight in ages, 81 kg in july '05! :)

Now I work about 30 minutes from home/channel. i do one workout (usually running + weights) in the university trackk and field installatins, and sometimes i erg/spin fryday at lunchtime at Club Natacion Barcelona. But it's not quite the same...
