Congratulations Hapa!! I'm working on my 4th million now. I am collecting the glasses, which I use every day to drink lots of water. I'm looking forward to the long-sleeved shirt for the 5 mil mark too. Its a real ego boost to have folks read the 1 mil shirt, especially when I went to my grandson's rowing regattas. I even made a custom Marathon iron-on for another shirt, which is a big winner too. I try to do a marathon a year, and then I add the date and time to the shirt with a marker.
Paddling question: We are leaving in a couple of weeks for a week on the big island of Hawaii. Its another grandchild's turn for a week with grandma and grandpa, so Katelyn (nearly 12) will come along. I want to try my hand (body?) at an outrigger session somewhere near Wailoa. Any suggestions?
Brag: My eldest grandson rows for Northeastern University in Boston now. They placed 5th in the Nationals last week. We have a special relationship because we both do 'hard time' on the erg. We took him to Kauai when he was 12 and introduced him to the water (snorkeling, scuba, boogie-boarding, sea kayaking) His family is sedentary and he had never done any of those things before. The trip made a big difference in his lself-confidence and life.
Enough of this-back to the erg. I'm erging for 1/2 of a match for my workouts during the World Cup.
