Odd question (guys only)

Post by helpplease » April 7th, 2006, 6:27 pm

Yes i know this may sound like a joke but i am serious. I hear that if you have sex two nights or the night before a race you would lose testosteron and not be able to pull as hard. Is this true, if so how many days before a race can you do it while keeping the power?

Well, That is a good subject, but not to worry. i dont know about rowing races, but i have done several running marathons and never had a problem during the race, with having sex the night before. and i might add running 26 miles is a lot longer than say a 2k row.

i was worried about he same thing, i looked into it last year....turns some studies have found that it helps because you are more relaxed and what not. From my own experience I can say that it doesn't slow you down for your race. :D

From my own experience, if the sex lasts all night long (say, for example, from 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.) for two or more nights in a row, my own athletic experience was not impaired. In fact, exercise gave me even more stamina.

In other words, not to worry.

Now why should this thread be for guys only? In any case it's a question of priorities.

well lets just say that it'll keep your mind off of race

but seriously.

I tried it before and it's a confidence boost actually. When you get on the erg you have a kind of false (or is it?) sense of security that you think. well i havn't jacked off in 2 weeks! im so prepared for this race.

and even an added bonus is that you'll never worry about your race again!

... you'll worry about somthing else
