Hi, there!<br><br>I am just curious about how much weight top rowers lift in their training sessions (legs, arms,etc.), and if there is a great diference between "real" rowers and ergometrists at this subject. If anyone could help me...<br><br>Thanks,<br>AM<br>

I think that it would depend on the weight class and experince. My coach was one of the top leight weights in his day (or so he tells us). He said that when he'd go to Seattle to train all of the lightweight men would do bench pulls before practice. He liked to tell us how the rest of the lightweights would only do about 90lb. bench pulls and he'd do 110lb. bench pulls. Don't know if that was actually relevant or not but oh well.

Thank you!<br><br>I allready visited the site you guys suggested me, but thanks anyway. <br>I was curious about this subject because rowing has this huge strength-effect on me. I rowed between 13-18 years old, and then I quited. I came back to rowing 4 months ago (30 years, now), doing a lot of erg, on-water rowing and running. My strength levels got crazy, since then. When I started, back in March, I did not do much more than 120-130 kg on the leg press, for instance, and now I am doing about 350 kg (my body-weigth is now 75 kg) - and I did not make more than 4 weight-training sessions, since then. Thus, I would like to understand more about rowing strength.<br><br>Keep rowing, anyway.<br>AM<br>
