Pm3 Magnets

Hi I have an early pm3 Model D/E Max firmware 108
I have a problem with there being no distance read out,I took the flywheel off and there doesn't seem to be any magnets , the sensor backs onto a magnetic loop that's attached to the fly wheel, is this the same thing or do I need to re order magnets?
I really can't see where magnets would have been seated on the flywheel.
I'll attach a picture of my fly wheel. Can anyone explain where they go or if the loop is what's it's reading from? Than I need to look elsewhere as to what the fault is?
