Hi from Hungary.

Post by GSARider » August 16th, 2023, 5:54 pm

Hi all, originally from the UK and now based in Hungary. I started rowing about 10 months ago as I have Type 2 Diabetes. My first session using the Concept 2 lasted 6 mins and heart rate went sky high. I can now do 60 min sessions with no issues and have gone down from 126kg to 98kg, aiming to lose another 8-10kg. Also my latest blood test shows I’m in the normal range for glucose levels.

Hoping to learn more on using my concept 2 rower.

Wow, great results so far 👌
Any motivation to get a bit competitive? Or "only" going on rowing for health purpose?

That's great!
I wish continued success with the rowing, and with improved health.

We live near Lake Balaton here in Hungary and was hoping to try rowing on the lake once I figure what I need to buy and the cost.

That sounds cool!
Unfortunately there is no lake or other possibility nearby, so I have to stick to the erg 😄
