Pedal stroke analysis on a BikeErg

Post by abelian » January 22nd, 2023, 1:37 am

Hello I'm in the market for an indoor bike and am considering the BikeErg. I'd like to know if there is a way I can do pedal stroke analysis like that offered by the Wattbike (https://support.wattbike.com/hc/en-gb/a ... -Pedalling) and the Elite (https://elitesrl.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/a ... g-Analysis).

It's ok if the BikeErg itself doesn't have these capabilities. For example, I'm also open to a solution which involves using special pedals/sensors clipped to my shoes.

The Bikeerg can accept standard bike pedals - so if get some power meter pedals you can add those on and that should give you the stroke analysis figures you want.

No, it doesn't. You can get a "stroke by stroke" readout of the summary stats, but even this is fake. It calculates your strokes by dividing flywheel speed by the drive ratio.
