Wahoo TICKR 2020 model with PM4 not connecting?
Wahoo TICKR 2020 model with PM4 not connecting?
Has anybody been able to use the new model Wahoo TICKR heart rate strap (2020 model, rather than 2014) with a PM4? I'm now on my second, without success. Just does not show up in Connect a HRM at all. I'm on up to date (v29) PM4 software.
A Bluetooth connection to a phone works fine, but not ANT+. Wahoo support says it should work in that case - ANT+ & Bluetooth being in the same silicon, but graciously shipped my a second unit to try. The same result, however.
My older TICKR can still connect.

When you try to connect your 2020 model, what shows up on your PM4 screen?

I hate the be the bearer of bad news but I've had no end to connectivity problems with Wahoo Tickr straps and Concept2 equipment, as well as other devices. I've seen other people report similar problems so it doesn't seem like I'm the outlier.
I switched to a Polar H10 and it connects reliably to everything. (ANT+, two BTLE channels, and Polar 5kHz GymLink)

I used it for quite a long time with no issues, then all of sudden it started playing up and not connecting/ giving ridiculous readings. Notably my wife has been using it, only with her smartphone, and it has been working fine for her.CJOttawa wrote: ↑December 7th, 2020, 8:14 amI hate the be the bearer of bad news but I've had no end to connectivity problems with Wahoo Tickr straps and Concept2 equipment, as well as other devices. I've been using a CooSpo (as cheap as a Wahoo) since August with very few issues, but obviously it's all a matter of choice as to what you go for.

Added datapoint: I've tested three CooSpo straps (two 808s and one 603b) and am 100% convinced they're re-branded BioStrap HRMs. They've been rock solid with a Concept2 PM5 and I'd recommend them over Wahoo.Dangerscouse wrote: ↑December 7th, 2020, 10:59 am...I've been using a CooSpo (as cheap as a Wahoo) since August with very few issues, but obviously it's all a matter of choice as to what you go for.

Yeah, it's the 808s I've got. All good so far.CJOttawa wrote: ↑December 8th, 2020, 6:32 amAdded datapoint: I've tested three CooSpo straps (two 808s and one 603b) and am 100% convinced they're re-branded BioStrap HRMs.
