USB C cable

Hi ... just got a new phone with a(n) USB C port.

Is there a cable that will work with PMs

It came with an adaptor for the original USB male socket

Not a chance of finding a custom cable. The assumption would be that a phone with USB C would also have BT/BTLE and you'd use that to connect to your PM5.

You might get it working with https://www.amazon.co.uk/AUKEY-Adapter- ... B01GKS2HCE with a USB-A to USB-B cable.

Thanks... thought that might be the case.... i have found that the connection is much better by cable..
When one has bt headphones... ant+ hr...

Been trying to connect my garmin edge 1000 .with ergiq
. Fenix 5 doesnt which is crap for a premium watch... apparently the 5x does and some cheaper ones

Also gym has limited pm5s ..and cable is needed for earlier pms

If the adapter gives you a USB-A (flat/four connectors) socket then connecting with a USB-A to USB-B (square/four connectors) printer cable should "just work".

The cable from the phone must be a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable and not a USB-C to Micro USB adapter cable.

The adapters I found on Amazon should be an OTG connection. The chances of finding a USB-C OTG to USB-B cable are absolutely zero. You may find a USB-C to USB-A cable, but those dumpy little adapters are going to be easier to find.

Hi

I took my s7 edge to the gym with a printer cable and the USB micro USB that came with the phone.

It worked ... Ergdata connected...


I am assuming the same result will occur with the s9+ and its adapter... When I get a case for it

Just need a less bulky cable

Well ... managed to get ergdata (through a cable) ergiq on to my edge 1000 and my bt headphones working!!

Not as much info on Strava as I had hoped

really disappointed with the fenix 5 with regard to rowing..its to do with the bt chip apparently .. the 5x works as does cheaper watches

I have written to Garmin expressing my disappointment for what I thought was a premium product

I also have an adapter (usb micro to C). This did not work.
