Can I get to a 7:40 in
I am 15, 5' 9" and 131 lbs. Do you guys think that I could get down to a 7:40 by January? I am at an 8:08 now. If anybody had tips for how to get there please tell me. I am super motivated so if you guys have any good tips or exercises I would be so thankful!

Hi Elizabeth - there is a lot of work between 8:08 and 7:40! In a year it is not impossible because you have time on your side and the advantage that you are growing and will be naturally faster/stronger. You are quite tall which is good. Have a look on the training sub forum here for "newbie" threads especially from young ones as there is a huge amount of material to help with training programselizabeththerower wrote:I am 15, 5' 9" and 131 lbs. You should find a coach to work with that understands the erg and what you want to do.
Eat well - nutrition is really important at this time.
Have a rest day.
Sleep well
Don't race your training - long steady pieces to get the K's and fitness. (it can be boring)
Set small intermediate goals and be patient.
Share your training if you are looking for motivation in the forum here
best of luck
