Hi, Can anyone help please. I recently bought a concept 2 rower, model C. It worked fine for about a week but now resets itself to a model D/E EVERY BLOODY TIME I want to use it. This means the reader stays on zero until you change it. I know how to bring up the hidden menu to put it back to a type C. I have also done at least 2 full monitor resets but the problem persists. Sometimes it wont even let you change the model type! This is driving me mad. Please help, I'd be so grateful.
Many Thanks

What version of Firmware do you have in the Product ID screen ?
I suggest you get it on the latest version.
Do you also have to reset the language and time every time you use it ? Are the batteries good ?

Re: Please help- model C but thinks its D/E !!
V108 is the latest version for the older model of the PM3. These are now quite a few years old. It sounds like it is loosing the battery conection to the board so possibly the battery contacts need a clean or the battery terminals to the board inside need a clean as well. The PM3 is loosing power to it at some point and the unit is resetting or there could also be an intermittant problem with the board itself. One way to check is use the USB socket to power the monitor for a few days and if the problem goes away its a battery connection related problem. As mentioned these are getting old now and some have developed faults that I have been unable to solve. The memory backup capacitor in these has also failed as you should be able to remove the batteries to change them and the language and time etc should backup for up to 20 minutes. Many of these have also suffered from corrosion which introduces all sorts of odd faults but mainly no tach pickup so the display doesn't change when you row and the menu back button stops working but both of these faults are repairable.
