Garmin FR 210 and PM4,missing data

Post by SSo » October 27th, 2016, 3:54 am

Hi,
I have a Garmin FR210 that I can connect to a Skierg with PM4 and latest firmware.
After a workout I only get speed and distance logged in my watch, but as I understand I should get cadance and watts as well as I see others logging that data. But is that only working from a rowing erg with rowing firmware or should it work with Skierg also?
Any help appreciated! :)

SkiErg will identify it self as a Ski device, not a rower; so I think very limited data gets recorded even though all data is sent. This is a Garmin side problem.

With the new Concept Utility you can change the firmware of the SkiErg monitor to firmware act like a Rowing machines… the Garmin watch will then save other data (watts, cadence, heartrate, time) too.

That's what I did with my SkiErg which I use with a FR610.

Thanks for your reply!

On Garmin Connect my SkiErg activity gets "workout" as status, so I thought it could have more data, but it's probably as you say.

Unfortunately the SkiErg I use is located on the local gym, don't think they will appreciate if I change to rowing firmware.. :)
