selling a rowing machine

Post by billyg » April 8th, 2013, 3:48 pm

Is there a place where I can post a rowing machine for sale? I had one listed here but it seems the moderators deleted the posting and I don't see a place on this forum where I can post to the classifieds. Any help would be much appreciated.

regards,
Bill

Craigslist or eBay.

We can't allow ads for brand-x machines on here only Concept2 machines or accessories.

I have seen here ads of brand-x machines (RowPerfect), claiming to be better than C2 machine, although they are not actually to sell anything.

We've all learned to ignore that trolling from the Australian Rowperfect fanboy.

I had also gotten messaged by a superstar '96 German rower who was pushing his version of that beautiful piece of furniture with the water tank & the sucky monitor, & using C2s website for trolling.

That lost him some "class" points with me, & I haven't been using his coaching services, much as I'd love to.

Sorry guys but my Rowperfect erg is not for sale. :D After 3 years of hard use, outdoors in all weather conditions, it still performs beautifully and smooth.
Last night in the dark I got caught out in a rain shower, for the umpteenth time, whilst doing a 30 minute workout. Reminds me that I better turn up the backlight on the monitor a few settings. The rain drops on the monitor window were making the numbers harder to see. Otherwise, she was running like a dream. B) However, life could be a lot worse if I still had a C2 and had to put up with thrashing around on one of those things all the time.

P.S.
I was quite happy to just sit back and observe the day to day postings on this C2 forum. But after reading the above posts you all new that I couldn't resist taking the bate and getting involved in a bit of banter.
PBs: 2K 6:13.4, 5K 16:32, 6K 19:55, 10K 33:49, 30min 8849m, 60min 17,309m
Caution: Static C2 ergs can ruin your technique and timing for rowing in a boat.
The best thing I ever did to improve my rowing was to sell my C2 and get a Rowperfect.
