Model B Footboard Dimensions or Retro-Fit?

Post by row-x » August 28th, 2011, 6:50 am

Does anyone have the footboard dimensions for the Model B wooden footboards?
Our rower was purchased off ebay and were without the footboards and we are waiting on order but could use something temporary until they arrive.
Or does anyone know if the Model C footboards can be retro-fitted to the Model B?
Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Cheers, Matt

The wood footboards on the Model B measure 13 inches long and just shy of 5 inches wide. You can order new ones from Concept2. You cannot install the Model C footrest hardware for the Model B. Instead, order the Flexfoot Retrofit (PN597), which you mount by screws onto the wood foodboards. Follow the mounting instructions carefully, to make sure you position the Flexfoot Retrofoot plastic pieces at exactly the correct position and angle specified on the wood footboards. Otherwise, you can screw up your foot position.

I've been using the Flexfoot Retrofit on my Model B for years and would never go back to the old strap system.

Thanks JRBJR, we are in the UK and have ordered from Concept2 but they do not stock them so we are waiting for an order in from the States. I will also take your advice on board regarding the Flexfoot Retrofit kit.
Thanks again for the help!

Cheers, Matt
