Nanny Spellcheck rules!

Post by Bob S. » February 25th, 2016, 11:18 am

Just a having fun (and a bit of a gripe) here. This shows 2 of the most common problems that I have encountered while trying to trying to write forum messages: Many mergers have urged twice a day. Trying it another way - many an eager ......

I also just checked those out on MSWord with cutting and pasting here. That worked OK and I erased it. MSWord complains with red underlining, but doesn't force the change. Also, once it is in the Word document and copied, it survives the pasting to a phpbb message.

I admit that there have been times when the automatic corrections have been handy, but I still get annoyed when the forum system assumes it knows best and takes control. A red underline warning is sufficient.

Vindictive spelling! Like the autojohns at Coit's Tower, it all flushes by so fast! One can hearty tell if one is combing or gong.
