We presently have a SkiErg with a MP3 monitor and are going to purchase either a Model D or E rower. I am leaning towards the model D as it costs less. I like the idea that the monitor on the model E is placed closer to the rower as I am an aging athlete and my eyes are not as good as they used to be. Is there any other reason/bonus to purchase the model E other than it sits higher than the model D? Any input would be appreciated. (we are 50+ and very fit)
thanks!
Model D or E... which would you buy?

I think you have already spotted the main differences.
Nothing more to add really, probably a harder decision on whether to go PM3 or PM4.
I understand many Gym's are going for the Model E as they are not only easier to get on and off, they sit higher so they get noticed and not lost amongst the rest of the cardio equipment.

Buy the D with PM4 and what you save on the E will pay for RowPro ($99) with some left over.
Ds and Es are very similar, but the E is built like a Hummer so that it's more resistant to the abuse rowing machines get in public gyms.
The main thing I dislike about the E is the fixed monitor arm. It's at the wrong height and in the wrong position for me. The monitor arm on a D is infinitely variable and if you pick the LARGE PRINT option easy to see even with my poor old eyes.
