Thanks for the welcome. I'm looking forward to the challenge. Technical question: Do I have to post my daily numbers here on this forum?.....or will you be able to pick up the numbers from the log book?

I get them from this page:
TimBukTWO Team Profile. I can't tell which day they were rowed -- I just take a "snapshot" once a day and calculate the difference. Anyway, just report your meters per usual into the C2 logbook, and you're good to go!

Naah, he's gone back to rowing every day with his team now that school has started, which means that any non-Sunday OTW meters are almost certainly in a masters 8. Until the weather changes. Then it's back to the erg.
Oh wait...OTW meters don't count for fall challenge. Darn...guess I'd better start dialing up the erg meters now!
Note to self: develop hardware and software to have simulated cox yelling at me while strategically placed hoses periodically provide back-splash.

I ordered my D today WOOHOO! I won't miss the gym at all....
Now I can row my 2 hours a day in peace with no more "are you through yet?"s
For the fall Challenge, I will be shooting for
450k since I try to row at least 20000m each day (when I am healthy) with row day M-F but when my rower gets here, I might change my schedule.
On a different note; today ended my 5th week since I started rowing. I initially gained 12 pounds the first two weeks so I shunned the scale but today I meandered into locker room and gave it a go. It was nice to me and said I have lost 16 lbs since last weigh in 3 weeks ago.

You go to a pretty unusual gym if folks actually use the rowing machines!

"You go to a pretty unusual gym if folks actually use the rowing machines!

Well, the way they use it ( and not in correct form or technique) is for 1 to 3 minutes at like 35 to 45 s/m, then they get up and stumble away like they did something good.... so when I am rowing for two or more hours, it interferes with their "work-out". Sometimes I feel like saying "I am going to take a water break, just row for me while I am gone"

LOL In fact, one guy asked me today after he rowed for a minute at 45 s/m what all those numbers on the monitor meant.... heheheh
and THANKS!!!!! =])

Hi-
Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself seeing that I just joined the team for the Fall Challenge.
I started erging at the gym last year as a component of my weight loss. I erged off and on until last fall when I signed up for the Skeleton Crew. It was such a great motivator that I completed to 200k Holiday Challenge as well. This spring the erging slacked off as I was training for a 5k run with my daughter. I then did a lot of biking over the summer.
Well, the fall has arrived and I needed another challenge, hence signing up for the team challenge. I'm so motivated because my new model D/PM4 just showed up yesterday and I have already done 2 5ks.
Can't wait to rack up some meters starting Sunday.
Thanks for having me!
