Thats a quality result Alex. 3 seconds is huge chunk over that distance!!

Thx Henry...I'm generally a slow starter on sprints but could definitely push the middle/end a bit more.
The idea is that 500 is max. Anaerobic, so your legs are fully dead if you 100%. In your case you had some left. So you could have started faster. But ofcourse given pb your where getting you felt already great going at the pace you did.

There will be lots of 500s over the next couple of days as the holiday challenge calendar has a tt scheduled in. Might be a bit warm here though.

36spm in the middle is way too leisurely. Must try harder :wink:

Did my first 10k last night and got 37:47. My goal was sub 38, so quite pleased. That's as long a distance as I think I'll every do though :lol:

That was done at a stroke rate of 21 and a 500m average of 1:53.3
40. 203cm. 101kg. Road/gravel cyclist with an occasional rowing habit.

100m - 15.0. 500m - 1:22.5. 1000m - 3:02.5. 2000m - 6:33.9. 5k - 16:44.2. 6k - 21:00.2. 30 minutes - 8636m. 30r20 - 8538m. 10k - 35:37. HM - 1.16:06.5

😂😂... well this is my front room in the house so the wife is none too pleased I keep it that cool 🙄😁

Big 10k too....you say you won't go further now but once the erg takes you there will be no going back 😉. 60' next...it's only a tiny bit further.

What a nightmare :lol: I usually keep the window open in the pain cave, starting temperature yesterday was about 6C, end temp about 10-12 B)

Great work - last 2k shows you probably still had a bit left in the tank, but that's a blistering finish.

Nice one. 21 is leisurely for a TT even for a biggun, so I reckon you could go a fair bit quicker with some more miles in your legs.
