Well done! That 4m piece seems very tough. In a way just over half a 2k makes it slightly attractive but when you think of it as 4 x 1m seems best avoided!Dangerscouse wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 5:36 am

Time.....1:20:49.0
Pace......1:54.9
New British Record in the 60 - 69 Lightweight (under 75kgs/165lbs) Category.
My coach Eddie Fletcher has got me into the kind of shape where I'm setting all time PB's at the age of 62 and faster as an ''old'' Lwt than I ever was as a ''young'' Hwt so big thanks and hats off to him!
Onwards now to the Full Marathon in 2 weeks.
Sorry I've not been commenting to others on the training thread but to be totally honest with you I just can't keep up with it and as I'm so used to other social media platforms I find the posts just too long and difficult to digest...which is my fault so I'm just posting this for the few people I stay in touch with on here and not expecting any comments from those who post and support each other regularly as I appreciate I'm not really adding any ''value'' to the forum and only come on here when I've got something to ''crow'' about ....but here it is for a few ol' chums...happy rowing all.

Put a HM on the PM myself today with target of sub 1.20, got 12k in and was overheating so canned it. Was on 1.53.7 r24 avg so would not have been a problem.

Thanks mate, it felt quite good for 75% of it and the last minute it quickly got tough.MartinSH4321 wrote: ↑May 30th, 2020, 5:47 am]
Congrats on the PB mate!
I expect this was pretty tough as you had no time to adapt to the faster stuff so far, a good bit more in you after some short interval sessions
An allergy can cost you some %, I had the same problem in march.
Thanks Tony. The shorter distances aren't really my forte so it wasn't a pleasant final minute

I think this is a PB by 2m but I was losing power near the end and I'm feeling slightly jaded atm so I was glad to get it done as it's the Team Oarsome monthly challenge so I've only got today and tomorrow to do it. As I have only ever done five (I think) of these sessions it'll hopefully keep improving
I'm blowing my nose quite a lot atm so I'm wondering if I'm suffering slightly from an allergy.

2m is a long way on the short stuff, but you'd be good for well into the 1230's on a good day. Well done Stu.

Never done this TT, but I reckon it must be pretty tough, especially after 1k.
