Thanks mate!

No doubt you'll crush your PB, the long time of discomfort can be really daunting but from time to time we nevertheless should give it a try :)
I'm actually looking to do a HM tomorrow or Sunday....not full tilt for obvious reasons but I should be able to get close.

60' PB - 15.779m (+118m)

This was a very hard effort for me, plan was to stay >235W for the first 45' and then see how I feel, but I didn't feel 100% fit and slowed down to 230W. At the end I wanted to reach 15.800m but did a false calculation, started the final sprint too late.
Nevertheless I'm happy to have struggled through and get a new PB, on a very good day I think I can reach for 15.900, the magic 16k not that far away anymore :D

Nice one Martin - you have added ~700m in a just over a year... that's very good going!!
Thanks Dino! Yeah, that's a lot of meters more, but now it will be harder and harder to improve :)

Great work there Martin but did you let someone row the last 1k!? Surely the real Martin does it in 1:42.0!

Seriously though, great work.

Good Day,
I mean, why not? Or What If?

Finished all 4 May challenges this morning with a PB

50k at 3 hr 38 min 44 sec or 2:11.7

I was still sore from the century on Monday and trying to keep up with the Pete Plan, so I think there is some room in this score.

Hope you all keep kicking butt and pushing hard.

Thanks Danger
How on earth did you get 153 in 12 hours? I know you like the distance and if I recall you do it for charity, but I have looked at a million different split times and I can’t figure it out with breaks and things. Impressed.

It was a bit messy. As it wasn't a rankable distance and I wanted to actually row for 12hrs so I did the first part as Just Row (which resets at 50k, which I didn't know until it happened) at 2:16.6 pace in 3hrs 48. Then I did 2hrs 12m at 2:17.1 to get it up to six hours.

Then I did six hours, as one interval, with quite a few stops, at 2:30.4 pace, and then finally another 10 mins to account for any breaks that I had throughout the day at 2:11 pace. The end total was 153,199m.

If it was rankable and I stood a chance of getting a national record it would have been inputted differently

Serious mileage this week and a great 50k time so soon after your 100. Far better than my effort!
You must be pushing a weekly PB in terms of meters covered too? I had vaguely thought of using Monday as a springboard to having a go at my weekly PB total, but swiftly put that out of my mind

PS. you need to get your signature updated!!

Completed the 100k in 6:59.43 yesterday. It was my first, so it’s also a PB, and I was told to post it on this thread for the record B)

The first half felt harder than a 50k I did at the same pace a week ago, and the second half was even harder, as - on top of the fatigue building up - I had to speed up 5-10 watts to make sub 7 hours despite a couple of unplanned stops.

Full report here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=189492#p495263

60' TT PB +310m 😁😁😁

I had planned a HM but the 60' seemed more sensible... definitely the right choice for today. Many opportunities to HD as doubts bounced around my head 😖 but I kept it going and even managed a little sprint finish 🥵. Netflix Ozark for company.
