Woohoo! The Holiday Challenge starts in five days! Whether it's your first challenge or one of many you complete, finishing a challenge is a great accomplishment! Give it a whirl - and keep the big wheel turning for 50 K or 100 K or 200 K over the 30 day time frame.... Dreaming of an honor board with lots and lots of Luna-Tics....

Welcome to the team, Terri H! We wish you many good rowing sessions and good luck on meeting your personal milestones as we journey to the moon.

Season meters as of 202/365 = 44,580,372 m

Total meters on the day = 606,290 m ! 290,894 daily m, and new teammate Terri brings in 315,396 m

Oars in space (participation) = 19 percent

MILESTONES...Bragging Rights....Celebrations:

1.3 MM Jim
600 K Ron

For those new to some of the Luna-Tic distance celebrations:

a full moon is the equivalent of 42,195 m or more - it doesn't have to be rowed all in one sitting
a half moon is the equivalent of 21,097 m or more...but less than 42,195 m - and it doesn't have to be rowed all at once either

Image Jim uploads a lotta meters (53,201) for a full moon plus some....
Image Will S also uploads a lotta meters (45,000) for a full moon plus some...
Image Jerry posts 32,252 m for a half moon plus
Image Brandy posts 29,000 m and earns a half moon plus
Image Minnie aka Chris moons us again with another half marathon

Thanks to all who rowed today - whether for a little or a lot - you rowed! For those rowing gently (or taking a break) following an injury, take good care - we'll be here when you're ready to row:
Gina 3,121 m
Tony ImageImageImageImage m
Harold 4,000 m
Peter G 5,000 m
Ted 6,000 m
Tom M 9,000 m
Baz 10,000 m
Chip 10,000 m
Thomas T 12,170 m :D good to see you on the boards!
David T 14,000 m
Kenneth G 15,000 m
Ron 18,720 m
Chris 21,097 m
Brandy 29,000 m :D good to see you on the boards!
Jerry 32,252 m
Will S 45,000 m
Jim 53,201 m
Terri H 315,396 m

Have a great rowing day - whenever and wherever you row!

I walked out the back-door this morning about 5am for a row up in the garage and the moon was literally 'blazing' (low) in the North-West sky....it looked very impressive.......keep an eye out tonight folks!

Sounds quite lovely, but the only thing I'd be likely to see blazing at 5am is hell freezing over ...

Well, Baz, speaking of garages, I saw a picture of a garage on a friend's phone last night. He had left the side door open, and a bull moose came in and started helping himself to the apples he had stored in there. He got a picture of him on his phone camera, standing right there next to his truck.

Moon is HUGE

Post by Kona2 » November 23rd, 2010, 12:51 am

Full moon....howl a lot! Minnie, not one to go for the 5 AM moon viewing, sets the moon timing to an hour more to her liking... :D
Image

Baz says the moon is blazing low in the sky....close enough to touch or so it would seem!

Thanks to Kapt K for the pictures...I don't know who to give credit to for them....I didn't create them!

Woohoo and hooyah! Congratulations, Lunies! We've rowed 45 million team meters in this rowing year! Take a victory lap!

PS - Dan sends word that he has torn a ligament in his left wrist....from rowing....and will get to gently row in a week or so - at much lower resistance. Heal well !
