Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Took way longer to get over this bronchitis than I thought. I felt the weezing when I rowed so I had to keep to non-winded exercising for the past 2 weeks. Wanted to do the March Madness but will have to settle for doing a good job with the WEC. Looking to do a minimum of 200,000. Need 120,313 for a Lifetime Mil and 215,313 for a Season Mil. Guess I should make my goal hitting my Season Mil for this one!Bob G - 6,900 Hey, no long breaks allowed!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Hi teammates!
I haven't visited the team room lately, but now I'm seeing that indeed oars are still moving and teammates are still chatting. This team rocks!
I apologize for my delay in posting my meters. I'm going to try to be more diligent in getting them posted shortly after each row. We'll see. With the weather getting warmer, I'm hoping to mix in some runs with my rows. Another "we'll see...".
Have a great day, all!!
Cindy

Hello team!
Hope you don't mind a visiting member to join the challenge.I can't promise many meters and have no goals to speak of.Rowing has been a challenge for me lately..a shoulder/chest wall issue when I row with too much gusto Took a month to "fix" after my last attempt at rowing.Sooo..I am going to give it a whirl and row with a team that I respect and admire.
Have patience with me..and GO TEAM!!!!!!!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Yes indeed. Pretty much all of my rowing is cross training with something else right now. I hope to get more meters in per day during the WEC, but quite honestly if I am dead after my run or weights session, I can only go so fardamselfly wrote:

I will be at the back of the boat.. more cheers than meters but I will try to row too..try to put my oars in the water!
I guess my goal will be to just row..to add some meters but not be at the top..
I trained hard at the beginning of the year and ran my first 5K in many years.Did well..didn't win any prizes but finished in style and never stopped to take a break. So I have been really cross training and keeping fit.My erg needs a chain oiling and dusting off and I will be on my way!! Nascar races back in gear so lots of action to keep my mind busy will I am rowing. We went to the Daytona 500..all weekend long and it was just the BEST!!!We were part of an historical race and we will follow the drivers thru the season.Mostly on TV so lots of action to row to!!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room
Hi Everyone
I hope it is OK I have "muscled in" on your team for the challenge, hope you don't mind having Brits aboard!
My name is Keith Jones and I live in the Isle of Man.
try to average 5000 a day but finding the 25days in March awkward because of other comittments, pretty sure I will drop more than 6 days I will do more than 125,000 metres but in less than 25 days.
Big target is to do a marathon before April 13th when I fly to the States, I need this to complete my Nonathalon this season. Done the other nine (currently standing 127 in the rankings) reckon it will take me 3hours 20 but hey however slow its a 100 bonus points! target was to do it before my 60th birthday but I've moved it up a couple of months.
Hope to contribute to both meterage and forum.
