If so, I would be interested in hearing your thoughts/feelings about how it was & perhaps some tips for training.

Hi there!!
Tough Mudder..hmm..
My hair stylist is entering that event in December.I am a Personal Trainer and these type things really peak my interest.I try to motivate her all I can.I don't train her..she needs special training and does Cross Fit.
If you google Tough Mudder..there are a few web sites that offer daily workouts and lots of tips.If you happen to be on Facebook..just check out How To train For Tough Mudder and you will get lots of help.
I proudly wear a Tough Mudder Tee and I have a sweat band to show my support.
Keep us posted here..I read all of your interesting posts and would love to follow your progress.
There is a site called Endorphin Warriors and there are great motivating bracelets to get to wear to help you through the tough times.
Warrior On!!!

Best of luck

NOTE: The Captain was involved in very vital & urgent work, rising almost to the level of, say, contemplating his navel or smoking his hookah - though at this particular moment he can’t quite remember what it was. So, those mates who dared disturb the esteemed Captain’s mega-incredible, super-vital Whatever-It-Was risk an imminent visit to Davey Jones’ locker!

PB time for me on Saturday. A 10k in 49:46.7 isn't going top get me in the Olympics, but I am very excited to be under 50 minutes. Also, I did it with drag set to 1. I could be dreaming, but I think that the lower drag settings are improving my speed at the catch and improving my form. It seems like slacking off on your form at a low drag setting really adds seconds to your spilts.

I was at a new level of soreness on Sunday. No rowing for me, but I did make it outside for sporting clays.I have an impressive bruise on my shoulder. Perhaps an extra day of rest...

Congrats to Elisa H, Glenn Y, and Occupy Parents Basement on the milestones!!!

Sporting clays are the little clay discs that get thrown in the air and you shoot with a shotgun. Good excuse to make lots of noise and drink beer afterwards-oops-did I just let the redneck out of the bag?? (used to do it in one of my previous lives)

Ah! My brothers and my dad did that, but where we lived it was called shooting skeet. It was LOUD and I didn't like going, which is pretty much all I remember!

OK, Smitty, how about recruiting Annie Thorisdottir, CrossFit champion? I think she could open up a can o' whoop-ass on Mr. Brawny, even! Or, ahem, clean the floor with him...

The folks at Wikipedia (geniuses down to the last one) describe sporting clays as "golf with a shotgun".
