Gina,

What devastating news to hear about your Mom. We have only known you a short time, but it has been evident from the start that she was a special lady, and the two of you shared an extra special relationship. What a legacy she has left. I hope it is a comfort to you to know that you have a whole bunch of new friends here on the team who are here for you during this very hard time. You and your family are in my prayers.

Back home; back on the rower

Post by DuluthMoose » February 14th, 2008, 5:36 pm

Hello Luna-Tics. Way to finish the JVC and congratulations! After 22 days away from home and rowing, I'm back and should be rowing most days from now until the end of the rowing year.

I have to admit I was more or less goofing off the last 3 weeks - a woodcarving class under an expert; some getting away from the frigid north in January to 60F's and 70F's; some sea coast and sea food therapy in Georgia and Florida; and best of all, great canoeing on north Florida spring runs and in cypress swamps with the gators. Even saw the monkeys that got away years ago on the Silver River that are doing just fine on their own.

Keep rowing on to the moon! Darryl

I got my 14,000 for the challenge, but little else. Had to back off a bit but will be back in there rowing again.

RE Shirt Sizing and Challenge Meters

Post by Kona2 » February 15th, 2008, 8:26 pm

RE: Luna-Tics Shirt Sizing

The Cafe Press shirt that I put the logo on is a lightweight unisex tee shirt, and I think the length is pretty comparable to any unisex tee (i.e., falls below the waist for most women). If you want a women's t-shirt instead, I can email you the logo and you can customize the shirt - or I can see if I can create the product number and let you know what that is. Hope this info helps!

RE: Valentine's Challenge Meters

With the individual challenges (vs the team challenges), I know I just row what I can. Some days that is a lot, and some days it's nothing. It's all a balance with what else is competing for our time! Hope your marathon training is going well! Are you participating in the March Atlanta ING marathon?
